Vintage O&EG Royal Austria HAT PIN Holder + 8 Unique Vintage Hat Pins 100% Authentic O&EG Smoke Free Environment Made in Austria (hat pin holder) Measurements: Holder Height: 4.25” x Width: (top) 1.5” (bottom) 2 3/8” Pins range from shortest 2.5” (pearl) to longest 8.5) amethyst (See photo 7 to view length of pins alongside measuring tape) A lovely blast from the past for your vanity by O&EG Royal Austria. Curved in the center, this elegant and gracefully designed pin holder, is a bit wider at the bottom. A delicate design of a light pink floral and leaf vine pattern around the top and bottom, is finished with a brushed gold tone colored top, with 13 holes for your collection of hat pins. Gifted many many years ago, the 8 vintage hat pins included in this sale were inserted in the holder. The very old cork at the bottom was the exact way this was presented. I discovered it had sand inside (which I removed), likely used to insert the shorter pins to stand taller for display. Each pin is unique. From the faceted amethyst-like large bead, to the jade-like green bead, to the aged sterling silver face & hair of a woman, to the light brown resin feather. The remaining 4 are a gold tone button top, black resin oval bead, a light green oval bead, and a faux pearl,. All make for a wonderful display whether together or separate. Lovely on the vanity, or displayed on a shelf. A wonderful conversation piece. Great vintage condition. Was displayed on a walk-in closet shelf for a short period of time, and then gently stored for many years. The body of the pin holder shows some natural signs of age in the color, but no chips. The brushed gold tone painted top has a little flaw/chip at the edge of rim (top of photo 4), and shows some natural signs of age in color. The 8 hat pins are all unique and some show more age than others. The sterling silver woman shows age underneath the head of the pin (photo 3). The faceted amethyst-like bead has a few small marks, and some of the pin sticks show age. Please see all photos.
