Description
Packed With History The Old Skool was the first sneaker from Vans to feature the iconic side stripe, known as the “Jazz Stripe” by the brand. Created in 1977, and originally named the “Style 36,” the Old Skool was also the first Vans sneaker to utilize leather/suede paneling, which increased durability in comparison to all-canvas skate shoes produced prior to its release. Worn only by core skateboarders at first, the Old Skool eventually found its way onto the feet on non-skaters for casual wear, and today the timeless design is more popular than ever. Although this Old Skool is sized down for kids, it still packs all the same rich history and iconic style as the adult sizing. Vans Old Skool Features: • Features classic Vans style built in a canvas-and-suede upper with iconic sidestripe. Materials on select styles vary. • Available in a wide variety of designs, including solid color schemes and graphic prints. • Leather or suede toe box and double stitching enhance durability at key abrasion points. • Padded collars for support and extra comfort at the ankles. • Cushioned sockliner for all-day comfort. • “Off the Wall” rubber logo patches on each heel. • Vulcanized waffle grip rubber outsole for traction on or off the board.
