Antique Hatpin Description and Notes: Rare Antique Hatpin Sterling Souvenir State House Boston MA Historical Example No cracks or splits, normal wear. With its instantly recognizable golden dome, the Charles Bulfinch-designed State House is centrally located in downtown Boston on Beacon Street, at the top of Park Street. This monumental building was completed with construction in 1798. The Massachusetts State House serves as the home for the State Senate, House of Representatives, and the Governor's Office. Inside, murals, statues and governors' portraits illustrate the state's history. The head is in excellent condition, solid connection, sterling. Stem is strong/straight. Marked: Sterling, State House Boston. Mass. on top. Overall, excellent condition. Date: late 1800s to early 1900s. Total Hatpin Length: 9 1/4" Head dimension: almost 7/8" x 7/8" Head length: 1 1/2".
