Below is a little History of the pin company and designer: JONETTE JEWELRY CO. — Providence, RI — c. 1943- Sept. 2006 * Mark: ©JJ – Mark used c. 1970. * * Mark: ©JJ1986 – Used on Artifacts line of jewelry although some pieces sold on Artifacts hang cards are only marked ©JJ. * Mark: ©JJ1988 – Used on Santa Fe line of southwestern-inspired jewelry. * Abraham Lisker started the company around 1943 first as The Providence Jewelry Company and then changed the name to Lisker & Lisker. The business remained family-owned until it closed. * Renamed company after parents John and Etta. * Alan Weimer designed some of JJ’s most clever pieces in the 1980s and ’90s. * Jonestte Jewelry Co. ended production in September, 2006. * Some sources cite 1935 as date Lisker founded first company.
