Finest Antique Niello? Hatpin Asian Stylized Crane Gold? Brass? Uncut 11” Total. This is one of the most amazing hatpins I have ever owned. The FINEST of work/detail. Looks like either Gold or Brass but untested as I didn’t want to damage. Overall 11”-Pin portion 10.5”. Pin has some “ pitting” but appears never cut down, nice and long. The top portion features a stylized Crane/bird. With the most amazing detail and background of “feathers/ferns”. Truly amazing. I think it might be Asian. Small “ mark “ under top, again I would not touch. My pictures do not do this justice! This is a recent LUCKY find, very difficult to sell as I’ve been collecting hatpins (and everything!) for over 50 years. ( I will eventually sell my amazing collection, so please keep an eye out. ) This could be the star of YOUR collection. Please feel free to ask questions.
