Lovely quality with a weighted purple velvet covered base and the silver stem is decorated with a nice amethyst crystal set Scottish thistle finial. Measures approx 4.4 inches (110mm) in height and is 2 inches (51mm) in diameter and there are no added personal engraved inscriptions. Date English antique solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1908, (date letter "i"). Good clear struck silver marks and the silversmiths initials are "R.P", (Robert Pringle & Sons - 1895 - 1932). Condition Good condition with splits or repairs to the silver and no nasty knocks or dents, a very nice genuine antique 116 year old example and with a beautiful amethyst crystal set "thistle" finial.
