Description

This is a handsome old ironstone hatpin holder that stands approximately 4 5/8” in height with a 3 ½” base diameter. It displays a beautiful flow blue old village motif featuring landscapes, buildings, village people, a dog and a horse with rider. The border around the base features a lovely cobalt blue heart pattern. Thirteen holes are positioned on the top for insertion of hatpins. A blue ‘lion and unicorn’ ink stamp is marked on the base with the words, “Victopia – Ironstone”. This Victorian hatpin holder is in very good condition with only a few manufacturing flaws. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, discolorations or any evidence of damage. This is a rare and well-preserved piece of Victopia Ironstone.
