Antique Hat Pin Description and Notes: "Sweetheart" hat pins were proudly worn in honor of the ladies' husband, father, son, brother, and beau who served in the military of various nations, especially during the time of war. The buttons were part or their uniform, and easily recognized by friends, relatives, military personnel , and neighbors. The head is in excellent condition, solid connection, unmarked silver; I pretty sure it is nickel. Stem is straight/strong. No marks observed.. Overall, excellent condition.
