As found at an estate sale. This lovely medallion is bound to have some meaning beyond simple decoration. I’d love to know! ***just photographed this & red tint that shows on the lower medallion isn’t really noticeable “in person”. I’m not sure what the red is, again - I didn’t see red at all on this until I looked at the photo, just FYI. Featuring the sun with spreading, encompassing rays, an angel or goddess stands on a cannon with a trumpet or horn. Just lovely. I cannot find another one like it.
