"This brooch pin is a long oval Japanese Satsuma pin dating to late 19th c. Hand painted in gold with a coiled dragon in traditional Japanese style. These were usually belt buckles when they were made, and converted to a pin.It has the characteristic cream color and fine crackle in the porcelain.
