Description

Purchased from the Tom Lawson collection ( Author of the Charles Horner of Halifax book and many other articles on hat pins). A stunning silver hat pin set with blue green enamel to form the three tear drops. Surrounded by a silver rim set flush with small stones, testing as rock crystal , foiled. ( the foil is disintegrating) In reasonable condition, ( there is some crazing to the enamel , only visible in bright lights and through the magnifier. Super quality, delightful design . Marked AJS for Arthur Johnson Smith . Full hallmarks for Chester 1909 Head 1.25 inch diameter. Length 10 inch.
